I realise I have been quiet lately …. I have had I realise I have been quiet lately …. I have had several property shoots, weddings and podcast interviews and creative haven events. But mostly I’ve been trying to get to grips with my new little addition. The day disappears and you haven’t achieved much and the house looks like a tornado has hit it. I’m approaching it like I do most things. Educating myself and learning how to train her. But mostly failing. We’ve started walking as she’s vaccinated now so I can see the light ahead and a time of great companionship….. when she finally becomes a bit more sensible and stops throwing herself around and needing to be surgically attached to me. Any puppy training tips or sympathy please post below! #whippetpuppiesofinstagram #whippetpuppy #whippettraining #puppylife #whippetsofinstagram

So many lightbulb moments lately. Things seem to s So many lightbulb moments lately. Things seem to slot in eventually. Some take years to develop and to understand and become relevant. Like my notebooks going back almost 13 years now. I remember my learning and my interest in reading and listening around creativity began on a couch in lentran ( you always remember the exact place for important moments ) when I listened to a ted talk by Simon sinek on starting with why. I made my first notes and haven’t stopped since. Waking up from sleep walking through life. So exciting and so much more to absorb. I’ve just arrived on Lewis again and enjoying having some time to listen to podcasts and read again. I sat out on deck wrapped up in fleeces and my dryrobe for extra warmth writing and reading. #isleoflewisandharris #seascapes #creativeinspiration

I really can’t complain as I swapped it for a holiday with rob on Harris. But nevertheless coming away from a group that has got close is always tricky. I now carry a small drawer of paints in my van so I got them out . Still re learning to paint - it seemed easier when I was younger! But always enjoying the quiet and peace I find whilst painting. Always continually finding ways that creativity soothes. #painting #creativity #isleofharris

Feeling a tiny touch of worrying what if my work i Feeling a tiny touch of worrying what if my work isn’t good enough this week. Not something that usually bothers me but I think it’s a result of being around people who are seriously good at what they do. I feel absolutely solid in my photography. But in writing and making little videos - these are new skills to me and things I am just feeling my way into.

I reckon it’s been healthy to feel this it’s a reminder of how others feel. It helps me connect better. ……So I’ll take a deep breath, make a video about the week and not worry that it really isn’t going to be the quality of @seantuck beautiful films. At the end of the day you have to make lots of work before the really good stuff comes through. What do you do when you feel like this? I’d encourage you to create regardless and know that you aren’t alone. Thanks to the incredible @sebastian_wehrle for the image of me!
