12 years ago today I missed the only wedding I eve 12 years ago today I missed the only wedding I ever had out of 700 weddings I’ve photographed. My youngest was seriously ill in hospital, I had just blown my life into pieces by leaving my marriage, I lost our house, left the business, lost all my money and even my car. I scraped together a couple of thousand to buy a car. My sister provided a house for us to live in and we carried on. I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve achieved in 12 years and so proud of what my boys have become. I guess it’s made me stronger and more grateful for the life I now have. #grateful #outerhebrides #landscapephotographer #womeninspiringwomen

I am aware that can be fleeting and also know that whatever is ahead - hard times and good times, my photography and my words will always be there for me as an outlet. It was a very special night for everyone on the He It was a very special night for everyone on the Hebrides photography workshop last night. As we headed out to photograph the milky way over the Callanish stones. This followed a day out on incredible beaches with rainbows, atmospheric mist over beautiful peeling waves on the beach, tea and paninis on the beach, clear blue turquoise seas later in the afternoon. Some of us even managed a swim in those amazing seas to end the day. After a delicious meal at the @cleaver.cabarfeidh we headed out to shoot these skies and it didn't disappoint.
