Photography gives us the ability to step momentarily into another world. To absorb ourselves and let go of minds that are filled with every day stresses.
This applies to both in the taking of an image and also in the viewing of final imagery. There have been several studies that show that experiences in or of nature are beneficial to health and well being. Nature scenes have been shown to improve anxiety levels, self esteem and stress levels.
More recently I have been looking into finding new ways to bring nature to those who can’t see or experience these wonderful scenes. A way of healing through total immersion in nature. I am currently researching new ways to deliver this complete all senses experience that is akin to visual meditation.
